To try genuine, strictly typical Ligurian cuisine, go to Trattoria dalla Etta, in Borgomaro, a beautiful Ligurian village.
Here you can find typical dishes from the hinterland: vegetable appetisers that follow the seasonality of the products, home-made pastas such as herb ravioli and straccetti ('streppa e caccia là') with pesto sauce and potatoes and green beans, rabbit with thyme and roast beef with vermentino, and for lovers of specialities: Ligurian-style snails, stockfish buridda and in winter wild boar with pigato and 'zemin' with beans from Conio.
The desserts are all homemade, one more mouth-watering than the other.
